The air ambulance was called to Walsall this morning after a crash between a car and a motorbike.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at the junction of Birch Lane and Mill Road in Shelfield shortly after 8.30am on Monday, September 11.

West Midlands Police confirmed their attendance.

A spokeswoman said: "We were called to the junction of Birch Lane and Mill Road at 8.30am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike.

"The motorcyclist has a broken leg."

The air ambulance's Twitter account posted: "First tasking today for @MAAHMED03 to assist @OFFICIALWMAS in Walsall."

This comes the day after the Mail reported on a collision between a motorbike and a car on Bristol Road.
