Walsall is bottom of the exercise league

Regular exercise is vital to maintain health and fitness, but Walsall has the lowest number of people taking part in the country.

Walsall people are the King Edwards of West Midlands couch potatoes, according to a survey compiled by Sports England.

The borough has the lowest number of people in the region actively taking part in sport or exercise of 30 minutes of moderate activity three times a week – which is the recommended level.
