Charity staff will take pay cuts

Walsall Disability Information and Advice Line in Lichfield Street faced closure after it was burgled twice in two months, with the raids inflicting thousands of pounds worth of damage.
The charity, which provides care and support to more than 6,000 disabled residents in Walsall each year, managed to bring forward grants to keep it afloat.
But with £5,000 still needed, staff have agreed to take pay cuts.
"If it comes to it, they have agreed to take cuts, and that shows how dedicated they are to the charity," said DIAL manager Mark Ashbourne.
"Obviously we do not want it to come to that, but the agreement means we are safe for the short term.
"But we would still encourage donations from the public."
DIAL has already received a £1,000 donation from an anonymous resident.
