Reckon you have what it takes to step up to the plate and polish off this ‘perfect hangover cure’ created by a Walsall café?

Well no one has managed the challenge so far and Kats Cabin Cafe and Tearoom is inviting you to try.

The ‘ultimate breakfast box’ has no fewer than six sausages, six rashers of bacon, four black pudding, four fried eggs, four hash browns, two tubs of beans, two tubs of chopped tomatoes, two tubs of mushrooms, six slices of mega thick toast and three fried bread.

And it is all yours for £15 with free delivery for those within a one mile radius.

Co-owner Kat Pointon, who runs the café with husband Mark Pointon, said: “The reaction to our launch has gone really well. We have been doing it for just over a week now and our Facebook post about it has been seen by over 250,000 people and has nearly 1,500 comments. I have tried scrolling through but I don’t have time to read them all!

“Loads of people are saying they would like to try it. No one has done it on their own yet, not that we know of. We have had people buying it to share for things like meetings and with their children. I did two for a man in Rugeley yesterday morning.

“My husband saw a picture of another café’s challenge and he has read about people going round cafes in America trying to do them before so he thought ‘well why not do one in Walsall?’

“We believe it is the first of its kind in Walsall, we don’t think anyone else has done one of these yet.”

Delivery of the box is only available on Fridays and Saturdays at the moment with collection available at the Spring Road store all week (01922449404).

The 32-seat café has launched a petition to extend its opening hours and open on a Sunday.

Kat’s Cabin began as just a mobile van in Coppice Lane two years ago but for the last three months has been operating from the refurbished former post office site.

Kat added: “Kat’s Cabin Cafe is the only place in the village to meet friends and family and sit down and enjoy something to eat, as well as enjoy the company of our friendly staff. This is especially important for the older generation who many locally live alone.

“We are currently open Monday to Saturday from 8am until 1.30pm. We would like to extend this and open for four hours on Sundays from 8.30am until 12.30pm.”
